How to Stay in the Game

Your racquet’s level of maintenance can make or break your performance. Stay in the game with regular restringing.
Strings lose their tension and require regular restringing. We recommend restringing each year as often as you play per week. If you play twice per week, you should restring your racquet twice per year. All strings gradually stretch and lose their resiliency or go dead, even if you play infrequently. Restringing yearly should be your minimum goal.

Multifilament

More Power and Comfort. Less Durability.
Multifilament strings are engineered with thousands of tiny microfibers bundled together to absorb shock from the impact of hitting. These strings are highly prized for their ability to absorb a softer, more comfortable feel, making them an excellent choice for players who prioritize arm comfort or suffer from joint issues. While they offer increased power and comfort, the softer material is generally less durable than polyester options and will eventually fray before breaking. Notable examples include the Wilson NXT family, Tecnifibre X-One Biphase, and Head Velocity MLT.

Polyester String

Enhanced Playability and Durability.
Polyester strings, often referred to as monofilaments, are constructed from a single, dense material that provides superior control and durability for hard-hitting players. Many polyester strings feature shaped or textured surfaces specifically to enhance spin potential. However, because polyester is significantly stiffer than multifilament, it can be harsher on the wrist, elbow, and shoulder, often requiring a lower tension to maintain playability. Popular high-performance examples include Luxilon ALU Power, Solinco Hyper-G, Yonex Poly Tour Pro, and Babolat RPM Blast.
